The Armenian National Congress issued a statement in connection with the dissolution of the fact-finding group, which runs that the fact-finding group, formed by two governmental and two oppositional representatives and one representative of the human rights defender worked for six months on the revelation of the March 1 assassinations. The group presented its report on the circumstances of the death of the police official Hamlet Tadevosyan and in case of working, it would be able to reveal the other deaths too. The Armenian National Congress stated that the dissolution of the fact-finding group is the apparent capitulation of the regime towards the undeniable facts. The work of the fact-finding group, according to the HAK, could be banned only in one case, if the latter gathered facts on the guilt of the previous government and the current one in connection with the events on March 1. The HAK demands an independent examination of the March 1 events with the participation of the international experts. The HAK is sure that this fact will get an equivalent response within the Armenian as well as the international societies.
