In the city of Şanlıurfa (Urfa), Turkey, a necropolis has been discovered that belonged to the Armenian royal family, Armenpress informed, referring to the Hurriyet Daily News. The Turky-based newspaper informs that around 80 graves were discovered in the result of the archeological excavations on a territory of 45,000 square meters. The biggest grave is situated at the top which may have belonged to the family of King Abgar of Edessa. The grave has room for ten people. Besides, a mosaic with Assyrian text has been discovered.
