The Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has echoed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement on establishing diplomatic relations with official Ankara without preconditions, Armenpress reported, referring to the Turkish Hyurriyet Newspaper. Yildirim announced that Turkey does not want to be enemies with its neighbors. Nevertheless, he did not drop the traditional policy of Turkey on Armenia. In particular, he said: “If Armenia changes its hostile position on Turkey lasting for years, gives up on claims to Turkey’s territorial integrity and borders, gives up on everything, wishes to turn over the page, we will study the details and will give an adequate answer. We do not want to be in hostility with anyone, particularly our neighbors. If there is such an approach, we will discuss it in line with the interests of our state.”Earlier on May 9 Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in answer to the question of reporters in Artsakh that Armenia is ready to establish relations with Turkey without preconditions.“You know that Turkey has preconditions in this matter, and these preconditions are illogical because the relations with a third country cannot be a precondition for establishing relations between two countries,” he said.
