The demonstrations against the Iranian government that started on December 29 continue in different cities. Two demonstrators died in Dorud, the Mehr Agency informed. People take to the streets protesting against corruption and rise in prices. The demonstrations started in the second big city Mahshad, continued in Qermanshah where the earthquake killed over 600 people in November. There were protests in Ghum, Rasht, Hamadan, Sari. The Iranian deputy minister Eshak Jahangiri announced that the demonstrations could be backed by the opponents of President Hassan Rowhani. According to official statistics, unemployment in Iran has soared from 1.4% to 12.4% in a year.
