EU-Armenia Common Aviation Agreement Signed

In the presence of the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan and the Head of International Transport Affairs of the EU DG for Mobility and Transport Carlos Bermejo Acosta, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Karen Nazaryan and the chief negotiator on behalf of the DG for Mobility and Transport Klaus Gale initialled the Common Aviation Area Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union.

The agreement provides for several advantages for the sides, including an opportunity for Armenia to join the common aviation area of the EU, as well as the introduction of the EU best practice in the sphere of aviation.
