Armenia Resumed Participation in Kosovo Peacekeeping Mission

On June 6, an Armenian detachment of 35 peacekeepers will leave for Kosovo. The Armenian peacekeepers will be deployed in the U.S. military base Bondsteel for a six-month peacekeeping mission.

The Armenian peacekeepers will be in charge of patrol service, checkpoints security, control of mass disorders etc.

The Armenian mission within Kosovo peacekeepers since 2004 was temporarily withdrawn for reduction of forces, the press service of the MoD reports.
