NKR Parliament Welcomes Rhode Island Appeal

On May 17, 2012 the Rhode Island House of Representatives called on the U.S. President and Congress to recognize the independence of Nagorno Karabakh Republic.

Taking into account the important role of the international recognition of Nagorno Karabakh Republic in the settlement of the conflict, which will bring to the peace and stability in the South Caucasus region, NKR Dashnaktsutyun, Democracy and Homeland parliamentary groups as well as the Artsakhatun group welcome the adoption of the aforementioned resolution by the Rhode Island House at the same time expecting continuation of the process and a principles and constructive position by the U.S. regarding the international recognition of NKR.

  1. OSCE Monitoring to be conducted
    On May 23, in accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, the OSCE Mission will conduct a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the Fizuli direction.
