The National Statistics Service reports a 1.5% price cut in July compared with June 2012. Prices of food, including alcohol and tobacco, dropped by 2.8% in the aforementioned period. Prices of non-food products and services fell by 0.4 and 0.1% respectively.
In the period January-July the consumer price index amounted to 102.2%, reporting a 2.2% price increase.
According to the NSS, the price of vegetables and potato dropped by 24.4% in July from June. Prices of fruit dropped by 17%.
