In an interview with Lragir.am the IMF resident representative Guillermo Tolosa said the growing income is not enough to create components of social security and poverty reduction, such as unemployment benefit, free medical care and education which protect citizens from crisis and prevent emigration, Mr. Tolosa said.
He noted that the situation will change promptly if reforms are carried out with the support of the international community. Tolosa announced that the external interest to invest in Armenia is high thanks to the factor of the Diaspora. There is an opportunity to launch free trade with Europe and CIS.
He noted that if the business climate is improved, investments will grow. However, revolutionary steps are needed.
