There Was Speculative Money In Construction

    • Business - Friday, 06 April 2012, 15:04

Today, during the Construction and Interior Expo in Yerevan, Lragir.am's reporter asked Tigran Sargsyan the cause of decline of construction in the last few years.

“Decline of construction  is determined by the 2009 financial crisis because there were immense speculative funds in this sphere. When the balloon burst, demand declined and volume reduced,” said the prime minister.

According to him, development of this sphere is natural. “We already have reported growth in the first quarter. We hope for a dramatic increase in this sphere in the year 2012 ,” he said.

According to the premier, first of all, it is necessary to ensure variety in construction “from construction of cheap apartments to castles”.
