Police Must Launch Criminal Proceedings

Yesterday evening Republican Ruben Hairapetyan knocked down the human rights activist and member of Helsinki Association Arman Veziryan. In an interview with Lragir.am the chair of Helsinki Association Michael Danielyan condemned the incident noting that this is a systemic issue. The system is a military-police-criminal state so it could not have been otherwise.

According to the human rights activist, all the oligarchs use force in Armenia, and the press must report, remembering all the oligarchs and their bodyguards who beat people.

According to Michael Danielyan, Ruben Hairapetyan apologized to Arman Veziryan referring to his irritated state.

The human rights defender also noted that the police are obliged to launch criminal proceedings into this case.

“The president has signed a new plan of reforms, let the authorities think if these reforms are fulfilled,” noted Michael Danielyan.
