U.S. Envoy: We’re Waiting

U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern told Lragir.am today that he has nothing new to say after his yesterday’s visit to Civilitas.

“We are following the developments. If a criminal case has been launched, we expect an investigation matching the international standards. We hope the entire process relating to Mr Oskanian and Civilitas will be transparent and fair,” he said.

At the same time, he noted that they are following the development, hoping everything will be done in accordance with the rule of law.

John Heffern didn’t answer the question if his talk with Oskanian clarified whether or not the process has political grounds.
