Prosecutor Beat Up Journalist

Head of Regnum Yerevan office Ruben Grzelyan was severely beaten up on May 12 by a group of people. Among them, as later was found out, was Movses Manrikyan, prosecutor of Kotayk region. Regnum reported. The incident happened in the evening, when he was out for a walk with his mother, pregnant wife and children.

Grzelyan’s children were standing on the way of the car with Manrikyan’s son inside coming out of the backyard. Manrikyan did not like this, he started a quarrel with Grzelyan and beat him. Manrikyan’s son and another two joined him and beat the journalist until he fainted.

Grzelyan has reported the incident to the police.
