VivaCell-MTS announces becoming the general sponsor of the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia for the new musical season.
The State Philharmonic Orchestra, bestowed with the title of the Honored orchestra of the Soviet Armenia, pays particular importance to the efforts made in the musical art to enrich the cultural history of our nation.
The orchestra holds about 45 concerts per season. The regularly organized concerts give the music loving public in Armenia an opportunity to witness the performances of foreign musicians, and a chance for the guest musicians to get in closer touch with the culture of Armenia.
This time the guests to join the Orchestra are Hyo-Joo Lee (piano), and conductor Youngmin Park, from South Korea. The program of the concert includes Beethoven’s “The Creatures of Prometheus” (ouverture), Chopin’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra N1, as well as Tchaikovsky’s Symphony N5.
“What is translated through music is common to all the mankind – it’s beautiful and it’s pure. The cultural ties are the best means to perceive the world. We remain convinced that this sort of initiatives has to get wide support: they let us appreciate the high values and strive for improvements,” says VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
