The Ambassador of Iran to Armenia Seid Ali Saghighian said during a press conference today that strategic economic projects between Armenia and Iran are being discussed. It is about building Meghri HPS, laying a second high voltage transmission line, pipeline, railway and a new highway.
Last year, the volume of trade in relation to the global crisis reduced. Recently discussions were held about the possibility of concluding a free trade agreement. 2 weeks ago in Iran a conference dedicated to the possibilities of investments in Armenia was held, with the participation of Ministers of Communications and Finance.
The Ambassador also commented on the facts of the invalidation of Armenian diplomas in Iran. He noted that it is reasoned by technical reasons. At the invitation of the Minister of Education of Iran Armen Ashotyan will go to Iran, and the problem will be solved.
